Give a Little Help for MS.

Tuesday, May 3rd, 2011

The MS Project is a collection of things created to raise awareness for Multiple Sclerosis. Consisting of a book, a website, and an iPhone app these elements work together to bring more attention to the disease, teach people, and create a strong community.

World MS Day is Wednesday May 25th and The goal of the MS Project, starting May 1st – May 25th, is 2500 downloads in 25 days.

The book – released on March 14th, 2011, is a collection of stories written by people afflicted by Multiple Sclerosis, or who have loved ones afflicted. This book is meant to be informational regarding the disease as experienced by real people and to showcase the amazing strength people find when facing adversity. DOWNLOAD the e-book for .99 on Amazon or Smashwords. You can find the book here at Smashwords or Here at Amazon

The iPhone app – is a tool to create awareness for Multiple Sclerosis. Connected to The MS Project website the app will include a feed from the blog to provide access to the MS community and a wealth of knowledge. DOWNLOAD the app on iTunes for .99. You can purchase the app here.

You can also purchase items from the store here.

I’ve not heard of this group before, but they seem legitimate, so let’s help them raise their goal of 2500 downloads. Even if you can’t contribute please share this information so that others might help if they choose to.

Tuesday, October 26th, 2010

This is the first actual product I’ve advertised. I wouldn’t have done so if I hadn’t received Mr. Hartigan’s product and tried it out for myself. Mr. Hartigan supplied two samples of the product. My wife and I both tried it for our reading glasses. The fingerprints disappeared like crazy. Prior to that we’d always used the wet wipes type products for glasses, lenses, etc. I also tried this product on my nook screen and all fingerprint smudges, etc. were gone. There might be other products out there that do this, but I know this one works as promised, and without the need for liquid cleaners to go with it. I think it’s a good price for 2 @ $4.99.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

 How Clean, is Your Screen?
MOBiLE CLOTH releases a high-tech cloth that grabs fingerprints and smudges,
without a scratch.

John Hartigan, was tired of looking at his iPhone touchscreen, notebook screen, book reader, and camera display constantly seeing fingerprints, grime and smears. He tried his shirt, his pants, his friends’ shirts, a towel in the bathroom anything and everything but all in vain! All it did was smear things around and leave lint,  scratches and frustration. He decided it was time to DO something about it! After much research and testing he came up with MOBiLE CLOTH.

MOBiLE CLOTH is a unique high tech material made of micro fibers 100 times thinner than a human hair! It is woven into a special pattern, which John calls “nubs.” Each nub acts like hundreds of tiny suction cups to pull fingerprints smudges, and all kinds of other material away from the surface of your device with a few swipes. Unlike cotton or other natural fibers that cannot handle oils and can scratch, MOBiLE CLOTH loves all mobile devices and would never hurt them. And no water or cleaning solution is needed.

“After testing the cloth for a year and getting such positive feedback from friends and family on how well it worked I realized that everyone with a touch screen had to have it!” — John Hartigan President MOBiLE CLOTH by Hartigan Industries Inc.

It is the right size to get the job done, and when folded, fits in a pocket or bag easily. It is washable and will be effective for years if the care instructions are followed.

Specifically designed for:

– iPhone, iPod & iPads
– Touchscreen displays
– Mobile phones & music players
– Digital book readers
– Notebook, netbook, camera &video displays

You can find your own MOBiLE CLOTH and more information at www.mobilecloth.com.

Shelf Media Group announces the September 1 launch of Shelf, a digital-only monthly magazine featuring the best of small press, university press, and self-published books. Each issue of Shelf will include reviews, author interviews, excerpts, photo essays, and more. Shelf will be distributed via Zinio.com, the world’s largest newsstand, for download on computer, iPhone, or iPad.

Adds Shelf editor in chief Kathy Wise: “Shelf is at its core about the joy of discovery. It is that feeling you get after spending an afternoon at an indie bookstore, reading first chapters and finding a mind-blowing new talent, as well as something new and unexpected from a writer you’ve loved for years.  It’s about taking that feeling on a plane, on your lunch break, to your best friend’s backyard. It’s about experiencing the best out-of-the-box books in a graphic, mobile, and tree-friendly way.  Shelf is not your mother’s literary magazine.”
